Baseball Recap: Bosco Tech Now 13-1 over Last 14 Games

Bosco Tech took a 16-run loss the last time they faced off against Glendale, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Nitros on Saturday. Four seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Kaysen Duhamel tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Bosco Tech saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Tafoya, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Roman Valdepena was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bosco Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Glendale, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bosco Tech will head out to take on The Webb Schools at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Glendale, they will take on Pasadena at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
