Basketball Recap: Tri-County North Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Travis Williamson and Clint Barnes

Tri-County North lost against Newton Local back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tri-County North Panthers took a 46-32 bruising from the Newton Local Indians. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Clint Barnes and Travis Williamson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Barnes went 7 for 12 en route to 18 points and six boards, while Williamson posted five points and three steals. Those 18 points gave Barnes a new career-high.

Tri-County North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Newton Local, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Tri-County North has already played their next contest, a 69-24 defeat against Brookville on the 25th. As for Newton Local, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 58-55 loss against Troy Christian on the 25th.
