Basketball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern was the 63-47 winner over Fredonia when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Southwestern Trojans took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fredonia Hillbillies on Tuesday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fredonia's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rj Koopman, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Colin Luce, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 14 points and eight boards.

Southwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Fredonia, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Southwestern nor Fredonia have any future games scheduled.
