Basketball Game Preview: Cedar Park Timberwolves vs. Hays Hawks

The Cedar Park Timberwolves will challenge the Hays Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Hays is facing Cedar Park at the wrong time: Cedar Park suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Panthers.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hays, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They breezed by Lehman to the tune of 64-24 on Friday. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Lobos are ranked 725th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hays now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Cedar Park, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-5.

Cedar Park strolled past Hays when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 44-30. Does Cedar Park have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hays turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
