The Parrish Community Bulls will be taking part in a tournament against the Hardee Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Parrish Community 3.7, Hardee 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Wednesday, Parrish Community needed a bit of extra time to put away IMG Academy Gold. They had just enough and edged out the Ascenders 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulls have posted since February 13th.

Parrish Community got a great performance from Francesco Giustino as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. Giustino has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sam Torres, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Bishop McKinney, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Hardee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Manatee. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since February 13th.
Leo Marrero made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryland Beumel, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Parrish Community's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hardee, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Hardee's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Parrish Community has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. It's a different story for Hardee, though, as they've only averaged .345. Will they be able to contain Parrish Community's hitters?
