Softball Recap: Eastview Drops Season-High Score on Apple Valley

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastview). Everything went their way against the Apple Valley Eagles on Monday as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Lightning haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Eastview pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Apple Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eastview will challenge rival Rosemount at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Apple Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Eagan at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
