Highland Park and Saint Thomas Aquinas squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Highland Park had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Scots' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Saint Thomas Aquinas' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Addison Smith, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave Smith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alayna Vaeth, who had 13 assists and four digs.

Highland Park's loss dropped their record down to 17-14-1. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-5.

As of now, neither Highland Park nor the Saints have any future games scheduled.
