Basketball Game Preview: New Manna Christian Wind vs. Union Grove Christian Patriots

The New Manna Christian Wind will head out to challenge the Union Grove Christian Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Grove Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on New Manna Christian, who comes in off a win.

New Manna Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 71-44 win over Victory Christian Academy. The Wind pushed the score to 64-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots cut but never quite recovered from.

Meanwhile, Union Grove Christian played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Oak Grove, falling 57-35. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 297th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 124th).

New Manna Christian's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Union Grove Christian, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-8.

New Manna Christian came up short against Union Grove Christian in their previous meeting back in January, falling 44-38. Can New Manna Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
