Volleyball Recap: Reeds Spring Wolves vs. Spokane Owls

After flying high against Cassville last Thursday, Reeds Spring came back down to earth. The Reeds Spring Wolves fell 3-1 to the Spokane Owls on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-19, 22-25, 26-24.

Leading Spokane to victory were Hannah Evans and Makenna Gideon. Evans had 18 digs and two aces, while Gideon had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Gideon has posted since back in August.

Reeds Spring dropped their record down to 1-10 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Spokane, the victory got them back to even at 6-6-2.

Reeds Spring will welcome Clever at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spokane, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss vs. New Covenant Academy on the 24th.
