Baseball Recap: Oldham County Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Oldham County and Christian Academy-Louisville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Colonels never let the Centurions get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. The Colonels have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Centurions, too.

Oldham County got a great performance from Colton Davis as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Ryan Giles was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jackson Martin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Oldham County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Oldham County will be playing at home against Male at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christian Academy-Louisville, they are taking a road trip to square off against Eastern at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Centurions' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
