Baseball Recap: Greater Lawrence Tech Comes Up Short

If Greater Lawrence Tech was feeling good fresh off their 15-3 takedown of East Boston on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Reggies fell 11-7 to the Malden Golden Tornados on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Reggies of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Greater Lawrence Tech's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Malden, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Lawrence Tech will take on Northeast Metro RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Malden, they will challenge Everett at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crimson Tide have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something the Golden Tornados will no doubt try to take advantage of.
