Basketball Recap: University Skates Past Seton Catholic with Ease

University won the last time they faced Seton Catholic and things went their way on Friday too. The Trailblazers claimed a resounding 92-25 win over the Cardinals. The Trailblazers pushed the score to 71-19 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had no chance of recovering from.

University's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Blake Gray, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 13 points along with six assists and three steals. Gray is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Faisal Mohamud, who shot 83% from the field on his way to 14 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: University was working as a unit and finished the game with 29 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Seton Catholic only racked up six.

Despite the loss, Seton Catholic still got an impressive performance from Zack Robinson, who posted six points.

University now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Seton Catholic, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University will square off against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seton Catholic, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Anderson Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th.
