Lanier Christian Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Creekside Christian Academy Cougars on Saturday, sneaking past 60-57. The victory was familiar territory for the Lightning, who have now won five matchups in a row.

Mekhi Barber was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 33 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last nine games he's played. Gavin Sewell-Strabala was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Lanier Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Lanier Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 23-5. As for Creekside Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
