Basketball Recap: West-Oak Sets Scoring Season-High Against Walhalla

West-Oak scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 67-57 to the Walhalla Razorbacks. The Warriors have struggled against the Razorbacks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harry Burgess, who posted 17 points and six rebounds. Burgess is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Brett Winegard, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards.

Even though they lost, West-Oak smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

West-Oak's record now sits at 3-15. As for Walhalla, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-14.

When West-Oak and Walhalla next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. West-Oak will challenge Daniel and their three-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Walhalla will try to stop Belton-Honea Path's four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
