Softball Recap: Lake View Wildcats vs. Intrinsic Mustangs
Lake View won the last time they faced Intrinsic and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Jodie Ongbueco made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Sofia Olayo was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Anali Soto was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases.
Lake View's record now sits at 2-0. As for Intrinsic, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lake View will take on rival Von Steuben at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Intrinsic is set to challenge their familiar foe Mather at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
