Basketball Recap: Ralston Comes Up Short

Ralston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 35th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Wahoo Warriors 64-16. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Warriors are ranked 105th).

Andi Radji was Ralston's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Radji also led the team in rebounds with six.

Wahoo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addy Hancock, who posted 11 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Hancock a new career-high in assists (four). Another player making a difference was Karryn Eddie, who scored ten points.

Ralston's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Wahoo, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ralston will host Beatrice at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wahoo, they will welcome Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wahoo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
