Baseball Recap: Carroll County Takes a Loss

Carroll County lost against Western Hills back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 8-7.

Dalten Wilson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs. Another player making a difference was Mason Ogden, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Carroll County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Western Hills, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll County will host Grant County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Western Hills, they will welcome Henry County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are on a three-game streak of home wins, the Wildcats a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
