Riverview has gone 10-0 against Huron recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Riverview Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huron Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. Riverview is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Riverview is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Saline just ended the team's three-game winning streak back in December of 2024. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 31-30 to the Hornets. The game marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kate Patterson, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Averi Westbay, who had six points and 11 rebounds.

Even though they lost, Riverview smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Huron put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Roosevelt with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. Given the Chiefs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Bears are ranked 183rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverview's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Huron, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Riverview against Huron in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-29 win. Does Riverview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Huron turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
