Prospect Ridge Academy and Stargate School are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Miners will be playing at home against the Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Prospect Ridge Academy is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They really took it to Jefferson for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-17 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-8.

Jack Brandt went supernova, shooting 52% from the field to rack up 25 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jacob Chavez, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 11 points.

Prospect Ridge Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Stargate School earned a 54-46 victory over Englewood on Thursday.

Prospect Ridge Academy took their win against Stargate School in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 81-61 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Eagles' Hunter Roark, who shot 50% from the field en route to 23 points and five boards. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be easier for the Miners to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
