Recap: Enfield Eagles vs. Windham Whippets
This season hasn't been kind to the Enfield Eagles, who are still winless after their fifth match. They fell 67-60 to Windham on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Windham got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Green out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Anden Gonzalez , who scored 20 points.
Enfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Windham, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.
Enfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Edwin O. Smith at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Edwin O. Smith is ranked 83rd, while Enfield is ranked 108th). As for Windham, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodstock Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
