Hozho Academy waltzed into their contest on Saturday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. Everything went their way against the Jemez Valley Warrior as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

Cody Dooley and Philip Elkins made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Dooley pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Elkins pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. At bat, Dooley went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Elkins went 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Epraim Otero was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Trey Tafoya was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hozho Academy pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Jemez Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.
