Volleyball Recap: Red Mountain Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Mountain View

Red Mountain faced Mountain View in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mountain Lions came up short against the Toros, falling 3-0. The Mountain Lions haven't had much luck with the Toros recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 26-24, 25-14.

Mountain View was led to victory by Brody Bingham and Levi Myers. Bingham had 12 digs and three assists, while Myers had five digs and one assist.

Red Mountain's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-6. As for Mountain View, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-13-2 record this season.
