Football Recap: Sachse Comes Up Short

Sachse came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against the Wylie East Raiders, falling 38-7. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Christian McCaffrey threw for 139 yards and one touchdown. Chase Barstow was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards. On the ground, Ladainian Jones rushed for 31 yards.

Wylie East's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Utubor, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries. Another passer making a difference was Jaiden McLemore, who threw for 234 yards and one touchdown.

Sachse's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Wylie East, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
