Cristo Rey is a perfect 10-0 against Sacramento Adventist since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. Cristo Rey is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Cristo Rey didn't have quite enough to beat Faith Christian and fell 3-2.

Cristo Rey took Faith Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25, 17-15.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sacramento Adventist, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Western Sierra Collegiate Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory last Thursday.

The win got Sacramento Adventist back to even at 2-2. As for Cristo Rey, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Cristo Rey skirted past Sacramento Adventist 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cristo Rey since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
