Baseball Recap: Dora Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Dora won the last time they faced Pennington and things went their way on Friday too. Dora put the hurt on Pennington with a sharp 18-8 victory. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Dora got a massive performance out of Tucker Martin, who scored three runs while going 4-for-4. Dora is undefeated when Martin posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Grayson Stephenson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Martin wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Dora kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 15 hits in three consecutive contests.

Dora's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Pennington, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Dora will challenge Weaver at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Weaver will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Dora surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pennington, they will square off against Gaylesville at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Gaylesville will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Pennington surely won't give up without a fight.
