Matt Siegfried was the best pitcher in Gopher this week. His stat line for the week included zero wins and 10 Ks.
New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva (21-2, 13-1) has won seven games in a row, the league's longest active win streak. The streak was extended by another two games over the past week, including a 9-8 victory over Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial.
Bethlehem Academy/Discovery/Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf/Shattuck-St. Mary's's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 16 hits and 16 walks, both of which led the league. The Cardinals have given up a mere 81 hits on the year in addition to compiling 97 strikeouts. Siegfried is the leader in that category with 48 Ks on the season.
