Softball Game Preview: South View Tigers vs. Seventy-First Falcons

South View has gone a perfect 10-0 against Seventy-First recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. South View will venture away from home to face off against Seventy-First at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for South View's offense. They fell 4-0 to Scotland on Wednesday. That makes it the first time this season the Tigers have let down their home crowd.

JORDYNN PARNELL spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Seventy-First lost 22-1 to Purnell Swett on Wednesday.

Seventy-First's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for South View, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Everything went South View's way against Seventy-First when the teams last played on March 4th, as South View made off with a 16-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for South View since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
