Football Game Preview: Rockledge Raiders vs. Deltona Wolves

The Rockledge Raiders will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Deltona Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockledge will be strutting in after a victory while Deltona will be coming in after a loss.

Deltona better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Rockledge's game two weeks ago is any indication, that's when Rockledge really gets things going. The Raiders blew past Seabreeze 47-7. The Raiders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of Rockledge's win came down to the chemistry between Robert Blalock and his top target Elijah Mitchell. Blalock threw for 387 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes while Mitchell picked up 230 receiving yards and three TDs.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Deltona's offense. They were beaten by DeLand 39-0 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Rockledge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Deltona, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Rockledge took their win against Deltona in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 49-27 score. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
