Preview: Minneapolis South Tigers vs. Rockford Rockets
The Minneapolis South Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Rockford Rockets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Minneapolis South humbled Humboldt/Open World Learning with a 69-11 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Minneapolis South.
Meanwhile, Rockford had just enough and edged West Lutheran out 52-49 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Rockford needed coming off of a 80-50 loss in their prior contest.
Among those leading the charge was Ellen Gordee, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sienna Thomas, who scored 9 points.
Minneapolis South's win bumped their season record to 2-0 while Humboldt/Open World Learning's loss dropped theirs to 1-3.
