Softball Recap: Becton Beats Wood-Ridge for Their Third Straight Victory

Becton barely beat Wood-Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the Blue Devils get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Friday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Kaitlyn Reiner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. Another player making a difference was Ava Romano, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

The victory keeps Becton at an undefeated 3-0-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Wood-Ridge, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Becton and Wood-Ridge will both be playing Waldwick the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will host the Warriors on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
