Basketball Recap: Megan Ferguson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Bethune

Pikes Peak Christian lost to Bethune back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 38-15 margin over the Bobcats.

Pikes Peak Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Ferguson, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards. Ferguson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Cora Wood, who shot 41% from the field on her way to 14 points and five assists.

Pikes Peak Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bethune only posted two.

The win got Pikes Peak Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Bethune, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Pikes Peak Christian will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bobcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
