Inland Lakes and Johannesburg-Lewiston are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Inland Lakes Bulldogs the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Even though Inland Lakes has not done well against St. Mary Cathedral recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Inland Lakes came out on top against St. Mary Cathedral by a score of 51-38.

Inland Lakes relied on the efforts of Aidan Fenstermaker, who scored 19 points, and Sam Schoonmaker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fenstermaker has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Payton Teuthorn, who scored six points along with six rebounds.

Johannesburg-Lewiston can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 65-39 margin over Forest Area. That 26 points margin sets a new team best for Johannesburg-Lewiston this season.

The victory got Inland Lakes back to even at 5-5. As for Johannesburg-Lewiston, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.
