Basketball Recap: Bolivar-Richburg Comes Up Short

Bolivar-Richburg lost against Cuba-Rushford back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bolivar-Richburg Wolverines lost to the Cuba-Rushford Rebels at home by a 52-35 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Rebels are ranked 250th).

Bolivar-Richburg has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Cuba-Rushford, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bolivar-Richburg will host Hinsdale Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bolivar-Richburg is facing Hinsdale Central at the right time seeing as Hinsdale Central is stuck on a six-game losing streak. Cuba-Rushford has already played their next match (against Fillmore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
