Baseball Recap: Marion-Franklin Find Success

Marion-Franklin's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the South Bulldogs by a score of 16-13. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Devils needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Eddie Martinez was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Tony Jared was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Marion-Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
