Basketball Recap: Carter Triumphs

Carter won the last time they faced Western Christian and things went their way on Saturday too. The Carter Lions walked away with a 61-53 win over the Western Christian Fighting Lancers.

When it comes to explaining why Western Christian lost, don't look at Brian Wallace. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards. Wallace's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Mendoza, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Carter now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Western Christian, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carter and Chaparral will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Western Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Alta Loma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Western Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
