Soccer Recap: Rootstown Starts Season with Win Against Labrae

Rootstown had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the LaBrae Vikings 8-0 on Monday. Zach Pastor was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

Looking ahead, Rootstown will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Newton Falls at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for LaBrae, they will venture away from home to face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
