Basketball Game Preview: Pascagoula Panthers vs. Hancock Hawks

The Pascagoula Panthers will take on the Hancock Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hancock will be up against a hot Pascagoula squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. Pascagoula breezed by George County to the tune of 61-16 on Friday. The Panthers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Hancock entered their tilt with Picayune on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Maroon Tide 59-29. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Maroon Tide are ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pascagoula has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Hancock, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-1.
