Volleyball Recap: Sabino Takes a Loss

If Sabino was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Palo Verde last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sabercats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Gregory School Hawks on Tuesday. The Sabercats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Sabino's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for The Gregory School, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sabino will head out to square off against Andrada Polytechnic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sabercats are facing the Mavericks at the right time seeing as the Mavericks are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for The Gregory School, they will head out on the road to challenge St. Augustine Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
