Football Recap: Montebello Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Montebello extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a blow against the San Marino Titans, falling 43-7. The Oilers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-0.

Sebastian Rodriguez threw for 76 yards and one touchdown. Francisco Mirelez was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards and one TD. On the ground, Giovanni Solorzano rushed for 36 yards.

As for San Marino, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 28.2 points per game.

Parker Wilson produced another solid performance throwing for 339 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 43 yards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (133.9). San Marino's leading receiver Chase Mena was Wilson's top target yet again, picking up 120 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montebello will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mark Keppel at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for San Marino, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
