Basketball Recap: Buckley Victorious

Buckley's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Benzie Central Huskies, sneaking past 56-54. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Buckley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Benzie Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buckley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Leland at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Benzie Central also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Muskegon Heights at 2:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
