Baseball Recap: City View Comes Up Short

City View fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Iowa Park on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Hawks: they've now lost five in a row.

City View saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was J Long, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Brendon Hawkins also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

City View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Iowa Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither City View nor Iowa Park have any future games scheduled.
