Soccer Recap: Winfield Takes a Loss

Winfield managed to keep up with Woodrow Wilson until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Generals lost 4-1 to the Flying Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Winfield of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2016.

Their goal came courtesy of Thomas Dunlap, who's now up to three this season.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Woodrow Wilson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Winfield will be playing in front of their home fans against Sissonville at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodrow Wilson, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ripley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
