Volleyball Recap: Waukesha West Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Menomonee Falls

Waukesha West faced Menomonee Falls in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolverines fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on September 6th.

This is the second loss in a row for Waukesha West and nudges their season record down to 15-8. As for Menomonee Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Waukesha West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Appleton North on the 27th. As for Menomonee Falls, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Oak Creek on the 27th.
