Basketball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Pine Hill Warriors and fell 64-24. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-19 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Channing James, who went 15 of 21 on his way to 39 points for Pine Hill. The contest was James' tenth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Rondy Henio, who posted eight points.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Pine Hill, they pushed their record up to 13-9 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tse' Yi' Gai the next time they take the court. Coronado will host Tse' Yi' Gai at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Pine Hill will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
