Softball Recap: Campbell Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Campbell ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Kapolei Hurricanes 5-4. The win was familiar territory for the Sabers, who have now won three games in a row.

Kaienna Fuentes-Arellano spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.

Campbell's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Kapolei, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Campbell will face off against rival Mililani at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sabers 3.5, the Trojans 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Kapolei is set to square off against their familiar foe Pearl City at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
