Colonia has gone a perfect 6-0 against Perth Amboy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Colonia came up short against Woodbridge and fell 34-21. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Barrons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite their loss, Colonia saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Dylan Chiera, who threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. The Patriots' leading receiver Rj Wortman was Chiera's top target yet again, picking up 183 receiving yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Perth Amboy played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 33-7 to Plainfield. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Cardinals are ranked 140th).

Perth Amboy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Colonia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Colonia was able to grind out a solid victory over Perth Amboy when the teams last played back in September of 2024, winning 27-20. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
