Recap: Juanita Ravens vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos
There's no place like home for The Juanita Ravens, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Lake Washington 31-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Juanita, who have now won five matchups by 31 points or more so far this season.
Juanita was led to victory by Nolan Mcwilliams and Dallas Sooto. Mcwilliams picked up 170 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Sooto threw for 283 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.2% of his passes. Mcwilliams' longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliot Staples, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns.
Juanita's victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.7 points per game. As for Lake Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Juanita will head out on the road to face off against Mercer Island at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mercer Island will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Lake Washington, they will be playing at home against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Liberty is ranked 96th, while Lake Washington is ranked 109th).
