Basketball Game Preview: Cascade Champions vs. Grundy County Yellowjackets

The Cascade Champions will challenge the Grundy County Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cascade is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Cascade is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Fayetteville by a score of 57-54. While the Champions didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 14-10 in the first quarter.

The losing side was boosted by Kaegan Young, who posted 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Ray, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Grundy County won against Cascade on Monday with 72 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. Grundy County came out on top against South Pittsburg by a score of 72-62. That's two games straight that the Yellowjackets have won by exactly ten points.

Grundy County now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Cascade, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.
