Soccer Game Preview: International Community vs. Mount Dora Christian Academy

The International Community Comets will venture away from home to challenge the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. International Community's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for International Community's offense. They lost 8-0 to Master's Academy on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Comets have lost by exactly eight goals.

Meanwhile, Mount Dora Christian Academy kept a clean sheet against Lake Mary Prep on Thursday. They blew past the Griffins 8-0. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Lake Mary Prep from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Riley Conlan led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The victory made it two in a row for Mount Dora Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-1-1. As for International Community, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

International Community might still be hurting after the 5-1 defeat they got from Mount Dora Christian Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point International Community was down 3-0.
