Soccer Game Preview: Calvary Christian vs. McKeel Academy

The Calvary Christian Warriors will face off against the McKeel Academy Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Calvary Christian heads in on the heels of a playoff contest last Thursday. They came up short against Academy of the Holy Names, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Jaguars are ranked 28th).

Meanwhile, McKeel Academy entered their tilt with Four Corners last Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Coyotes. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Four Corners from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Ava Chevalier led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Calvary Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for McKeel Academy, their win bumped their record up to 13-2-2.
